Photo Drawing

this is a picture of my friend gary and his son eli. you can see another picture of gary on my flickr. i dont like doing a lot of the drawing in photoshop because it is kind of gimick-e, but it works on occasion. i originally shot this for a panning assignment, but recently found it on one of my hard drives and tricked it out in photoshop. there are drawing filters in photoshop, but this isnt one of them. it is from multiple techniques that i have tweeked to fit what i like. ohh, and yes eli is driving the bike, that isnt photoshop.

this is a picture of my friend steven i took over the weekend. sometimes these types of shots can work, but not very often. get outside and enjoy what the cold has to offer.

i was really excited when i found out theat gregory heisler was coming to the school to speak. i encourage everybody to come a listen. he is an amaing portrait photographer and i cant wait to hear what he has to say.

this is my first attempt at a video.  it is a little shaky and i know that for next time.  the next attempt will be much better, but here it is anyway.

My Pops

this is a picture of my dad that i took this summer in the asheville area of north carolina. i used the serieal killer effect on it that i learned from my buddy mike. i think it works good on some pictures, but it isnt one of those things you want to do to a lot of pictures.

Donnie Before

this is the picture of donnie that i started with. i know it is horrible.

Donnie

i took a snapshot of my buddy donnie. i fooled around in photoshop and messed with the saturation. i made a copy of the background layer and went to image-adjustmens-desaturate. i then made a layer mask and inverted it. now that that was done i then used a low opacity and went to work with the pen and tablet.

Modern Day Hero

every generation needs a hero. to day more than any time. superman has always been a kickass hero, but times are changing. this is my look at a modern day superman. enjoy

just some more photoshop. i guess one really good thing about photoshop is that it helps out with bordom. also she looks like a demon child but she is really sweet.

Moments... On The Run

we have had a crappy few days for shooting. today was cold, cloudy, and windy. every once in a while the sun would peek out a little. this is a picture i took of my girlfriend. the light was beautiful and warm, but only lasted a minue or two. good lighting can make almost any picture if it is composed correctly. i used a very shallow depth of field to blur the background because it didnt add anything to the picture. if it was sharp i think it would have hurt. i always keep my camera close and pictures on the run like this one make it worth it.
